Exotic
Tropicals has a $100.00 minimum purchase requirement for all fish orders.
Exotic
Tropicals requires you to prepay your order in the form of a cashiers check,
money order, Visa or MasterCard. We do not
have open accounts. We will not ship COD. We will hold the fish you order
one week for you to send the payment. If we have not received the payment
within one week, all fish that were on hold are subject to sale. We will
not hold any fish for a customer who has ever failed to send a payment for
fish ordered within the one week period after placing an order. In most
cases the freight charges will be collect. In the event the best shipping
arrangements require Delta Dash, this fee must also be paid in advance
because this class of service must be prepaid at the airport at the time of
shipping. Most of our shipments are sent out at the general class of air
freight. Exotic Tropicals reserves the right to upgrade the class of air
freight service at the customer's expense if it is necessary to get your
order to you with a reasonable chance for live arrival. There is a box
charge of $3.50 per box. Heat packs are $1.00 per box if required. Exotic
Tropicals will calculate the number of boxes required at the time you place
your order. Each single box will weigh approximately 22 pounds (10 kilos).
The minimum freight charge on most airlines averages approximately $40 and
will usually cover the weight of 3 single fish boxes. These charges vary by
airline and by the airport into which the shipment is sent.

Tropicals guarantees live arrival of fish shipped on direct flights within
the continental United States with on time arrivals and on time
pick up by customer. Losses must be confirmed by an airline or postal
inspection. Customer must telephone, FAX or email losses to our office
within two (2) hours of pick up time to the numbers or the email address
listed below. The numbers and email address are good 24 hours a day with an
answering system on the phone line. DOA fish must be returned to Exotic
Tropicals along with the air bill showing the time of pick up by customer.
Exotic Tropicals reserves the right to either replace or issue a credit for
the DOA's solely at the discretion of Exotic Tropicals. For losses other
than packing errors, the customer must file directly with the carrier. The
intent of this guarantee is to cover problems due to packing errors and does
not cover transfer shipments, airline delays or mishandling. There is no
guarantee on fish shipped to foreign countries because we have no control
of how long customs will delay the shipment. We have experience in
transcontinental shipping with good results but there is no way to guarantee
situations beyond our control. There will be no exceptions to this policy.

Sales within the State
of Texas are subject to 8.25% state sales tax unless you have a valid State
of Texas Resale Permit. If your purchase is subject to the State Sales Tax,
you must also prepay any tax due. Sales within certain areas of the country
where Exotic Tropicals already has an established relationship with
distributors, must go through one of those distributors unless you are a
legitimate breeder with a State Resale Permit. These distributors have
helped Exotic Tropicals grow and have substantial investments in their
businesses. We will support the companies who have helped us grow. Exotic
Tropicals realizes that there is no way to please and accommodate everyone
and we appreciate your understanding of this situation. When you inquire
about an order, we will let you know if there is already a distributor in
your area.
