Starting in 1990 Exotic Tropicals started to develop exclusive food formulas to feed the fish we breed. With many years of breeding experience we noticed a dramatic difference in the overall health and the reproductive rates in the fish we bred with the different feeds we used. The original goal was to manufacture the best foods possible without regard to cost and to only manufacture this feed for the fish we breed. Having a high quality feed was the key to our breeding success story. As we sold fish with special dietary requirements, such as Tropheus, we started supplying a sample of our foods to the customers to help insure those fish would survive. This started the demand for our foods and we are now packaging our foods for the retail market.
